
Ashley Stokes
Ashley Stokes is a second-year law student and Human Rights Center Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota Law School. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University, where she earned dual degrees in Diplomacy & International Relations and Modern Languages, with a minor in Economics. Before law school, Ashley worked for several years as a litigation paralegal in both criminal and civil practice.
Ashley’s academic and professional interests include civil litigation and international human rights advocacy, and she is passionate about advancing policies that center dignity, family integrity, and access to justice.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys attending concerts, spending time with her dog, Gus, doing Pilates, exploring the Twin Cities restaurant scene, and volunteering with Safe Hands Animal Rescue.
Ashley is excited to join the team at Children of Incarcerated Caregivers and contribute to research and advocacy on issues affecting pregnant women and children impacted by incarceration and immigration detention.
