Walter Rubio

Walter Rubio (he/him) is a rising third-year law student at Cornell Law School. A Chicago native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Chicago and later completed a master’s in Biostatistics at Indiana University Indianapolis. He came to law school to pursue a career in public interest advocacy, supporting marginalized and underserved communities as they navigate the legal system.
At Cornell, he participated in the 1L Immigration Law and Advocacy Clinic, where he worked on asylum, advance parole, and Know Your Rights projects, and will return to immigration clinic work in the fall. He currently serves as an Executive Editor of the Cornell Law Review and was an Honors Fellow for the first-year Lawyering Program this previous academic year. He looks forward to collaborating with the CIC team and contributing to meaningful projects throughout the summer.
