Sarah Etheridge

Sarah Etheridge is a second-year student at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with honors in December of 2022 with a degree in Youth Studies, the pathway to social work. Sarah has been an active youth worker for the last decade as a social worker, educator, and coach. As a precious Ronald McNair Scholar, she presented research on grassroots LGBTQIA+ youth organizations at the UCLA campus. She has now taken her work in the legal direction. She currently works as a Certified Student Attorney for the Minnesota Board of Public Defense, representing clients on arraignment calendars. At St. Thomas, Sarah is a Dean’s Award recipient for her work in the Public Defender’s Office, the student representative on the state board for the Minnesota Justice Foundation, and a member of the Lefkowitz Moot Court competition team. She is particularly interested in juvenile defense work and granting children autonomy over policy decisions that impact their futures.
