Anya Lindberg

Anya Lindberg is a junior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she is pursuing a B.A. in the Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice and a minor in Spanish studies. She is particularly interested in reform and innovation within the criminal legal system and immigration policy. Anya is passionate about defending human rights, especially for incarcerated or detained individuals and their family members. She is bilingual in Spanish and has used her language abilities in several internship and volunteer positions related to immigration and human rights. After graduation, she plans on attending law school and utilizing her legal education to advocate for social change surrounding these issues. At CIC, she is providing research assistance for the Prison Nursery Project.
