
Annelise Swigert
Annelise Skor Swigert, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has been practicing the full scope of women’s health care at Southdale ObGyn/Premier OBGyn of MN for more than two decades.
Dr. Swigert earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature at Wellesley College in Boston and went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her residency at the University of MN and served as Chief Resident at the University of Minnesota and Hennepin County Medical Center.
Dr. Swigert’s focus for women-centered care has always included education, advocacy, partnership, and exceptional patient care. She engages with a diverse population of patients and women of all ages.
As a leader in her organization, she has developed and implemented a midwife program that has allowed women of all cultural backgrounds access to safe and compassionate obstetrical care in the nexus of their community. She has also expanded the provision of all reproductive services in response to the needs of women both in our state and many miles away.
Fluent in French, Dr. Swigert enjoys using this skill in the office and abroad. She is an active translator and has used both language and medical skills on mission trips to Haiti.
Dr. Swigert has been the Medical Director for Premier ObGyn of Minnesota since 2020 and is an active member of five national clinical advisory boards. She has received the MSP Top Doctor Award for 14 straight years and the Minnesota Monthly ‘Best Doctors for Women’ for many years as well.
When not in the office or hospital, Dr. Swigert loves spending time with her two college-aged children, traveling, and experiencing innovative new foods and cultures.
