CIC offers scholarships for youth in our network to attend a week of summer camp for free.
These camps are run by the YMCA. CIC identifies camp opportunities, raises money to cover the costs, and spreads the word to the families in our network.
2025 CAMPS
YMCA Camp Olson
Ages 9-15
YMCA Camp Olson is located in Longville, MN around the beautiful Shurds Lakes. This summer, they’ve set aside spots for eight kids impacted by parental incarceration to attend their overnight camp. Each child gets a week of camp and bus transportation to and from camp. Camp Olson may be able to provide campers with camp supplies and/or a sleeping bag.
YMCA Camp Icaghowan
Ages 7-13
YMCA Camp Icaghowan is located in Amery, WI on a picturesque island. This summer, they’ve set aside spots for 25 youth impacted by parental incarceration to attend their overnight camp. Each child gets a week of camp, bus transportation to and from camp, a sleeping bag, and a backpack full of camp supplies.
Eligibility
These camp opportunities are open to youth impacted by parental incarceration who are referred to CIC by a community organization. Unfortunately, non-impacted siblings are not eligible.
