Kelly Fraenkel

Kelly Fraenkel is a rising second-year student at the University of Minnesota Law School. She graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University in January 2025 with her B.A. in International Affairs and concentrations in Security Policy and Europe and Eurasia. Kelly gained experience in international advocacy while an undergraduate student, presenting on a parallel panel at the 2025 Commission on the Status of Women. She entered law school to pursue a career in human rights and international law. Kelly is excited to join CIC’s team to promote the best interests of pregnant women and their children living in prison and immigration detention. She is looking forward to supporting CIC’s work by developing reports to support CIC’s advocacy and strategic litigation.
