Interns Are Key to Our Success
Each summer, we hire a group of advanced undergraduate and graduate student interns to research a specific issue relevant to our mission. These interns focus on both a domestic and international perspective, producing reports and presenting their work at CIC’s annual event.
In 2015 the interns focused on how caregiver incarceration impacted children, what alternatives existed (with a special focus on prison nurseries internationally), and what the costs and benefits of these alternatives were.
In 2016 the interns focused on visitation, both how information was disseminated through Minnesota websites and what types of innovations were taking place around the world.
